Well, thank you, Melissa. I think I probably ought to start listening to myself based on that introduction. Okay, y'all, I'm going go pretty quickly and I'm going to drop some stuff in the chat later on, but I want you all to get out a piece of paper. Get out a piece of paper. Get out a piece of paper. When you've gotten out a piece of paper, raise your hand. Beautiful. Okay. So we're going to talk about how to start rewiring and rewriting an identity.
Christian (:And it's actually a lot simpler than you think. But in order to understand more about how to do that, we need to give you an example of what might be existing already in your awareness that you're not aware of in your subconscious mind. So on your piece of paper, I want you to draw nine dots, just like this. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine.
Give you a couple of moments to do that. Draw nine dots on your paper, just like this. Okay. Now I'm going to give you the instruction. The instruction is, hey Sarah, the instruction is I want you to connect all nine dots. Connect all nine dots with four straight lines. Connect all nine dots with four straight lines. Do not pick up your pen or pencil. Do not retrace. Do not redraw. Do not go over the river and through the woods. Connect all nine dots with four straight continuous lines.
Everybody got that? Now I'm gonna give you about 30 seconds to do this. One, two, three, go.
Did anybody get it? Was anybody able to connect all nine dots with four straight lines? Raise your hand if you were able to do it. Okay, so let me show you how it's done. Would that be okay? Here we go. One, two, three, four. Now notice, I never said
I never said that you couldn't go outside the lines. I never said that you couldn't go outside the lines. You probably made the assumption that you had to stay inside the lines, right? Where does this come from? It comes from early childhood. These ideas that are operating in our subconscious mind that are confining, that are restricting, that start to develop at a very early age, we carry them on through life. We carry them on through life.
Christian (:and they hamper and affect our ability to live into a higher version of ourselves. Is that making sense? Is that making sense? Give me me a hands up. Is that making sense? Beautiful. Okay. So now I want to talk about how to start to change this. Okay. I want to talk about how to start to change this. This is about rewiring your mindset and reclaiming your power. I've lectured at three international symposiums. As Melissa mentioned earlier, one of five clinical trial hypnotherapists that was a...
selected to run sessions in that four-year, $3 million NIH study that compared hypnotherapy to drug therapy and the treatment of urinary urgency and incontinence, affecting as much as 60 % of women over the age of 20 years old. But here's who I am. This is who I am. I'm a survivor of, and actually a thriver through, a brain aneurysm, a coma, 87 blood transfusions, a rare blood disease, a splenectomy.
Christian (:grand mal seizure, systemic lupus, lupus nephritis, lupus vasculitis, and three near-death experiences. And what I believe, which is definitely outside the lines, is that mind power matters. And my experience of life is my dominant thoughts manifesting. It's radical self-acceptance. I'm taking responsibility for my life, who I am and where I am, as a product of my thinking. And I cannot think my way out of an identity that lives in my nervous system. So we're going to talk about
how to get that moving out of the nervous system. And two years ago, some of you, I was where some of you are trying to scale a vision, quietly wondering if my energy or even if my sense of self could keep up. My nervous system was running wild, fight or flight. I hadn't learned yet how to regulate my nervous system while building this dream. But there's one subtle shift that changed everything. And I've actually already given that to you. I've actually already given that to you.
It's not the story that matters most. What most matters is the meaning we give that story. If you've been to the movies with a friend, I'll bet you all a nickel that when you've come out of the movie, it's seldom, if ever, that you have the same favorite scene. Yet we are seeing the same thing at the same time. This is because different people give different meanings to the same thing.
And if you change the meaning of the story, you can change the ending. You can start to program into your subconscious mind the life that you desire to have. You can color outside all of the lines that you want. You can create a whole new coloring book. You have the ability to do that. Here's why goal setting is not working. This is what I learned from myself. It's not, it wasn't working because there's a pattern that we all carry silently. We're powerful, we're committed, we've completed the training, the journaling, the planning, we're doing everything absolutely 100 % right, right? We're stuck between who we've been and who we know we're meant to be. That's because we are scullering inside the lines. And we do that.
Christian (:Because we don't manifest what we want, we manifest who we are. If your subconscious still identifies you as the one that overgives and gets nothing back, or who hides when it's time to be visible, or who can't stay consistent and trust himself or herself, even the most soul-led person is going to stay stuck because stepping outside of that comfort zone, coloring outside of the lines to become the better version of themselves, is working against the lie in their central nervous system.
And that is controlled by our subconscious mind. The subconscious mind controls about 95 % of our thoughts, habits, and behaviors. And here's the scary thing. The majority of them are installed before age seven. Actually, studies have shown that the central nervous system in the subconscious mind start to develop in the second trimester in utero. As the gestating child,
In the mother's womb, the womb is the environment, the universe. And what mom feels while carrying child, child feels. And it's registered in their nervous system. Studies have shown that children that gestate in a sympathetic fight or flight environment have larger muscle groups, lower higher mind problem solving ability. And this is because our fight or flight system, which is a powerful system,
is designed to move us away from danger, which is really handy when you're being chased through the forest by a saber-toothed or move towards life enrichment when things are balanced, calm, and peaceful. That is an important mechanism for us to have. However, children gestating in utero start to be imprinted by their environment, and this carries on through life. It shapes us and how we see life, and to some extent, how we start coloring inside or outside of life.
So if you're scaling a business based on that fight or flight mentality, it's no wonder that success is out of reach. You don't need to push your way through to get to success. You don't need to fight your way through it. That's a sympathetic fight or flight response. You don't need more force. You don't need to...
Christian (:Push against a door that opens in. That door opens in. Surrender to self. The kind of power that you get from having a new identity. But here's the tricky part. I've said this before, you can't think your way out of an identity that lives in your nervous system. You can't think your way out. You can create more power with self-hypnosis. Now raise your hand if you have never been hypnotized. If you've never been hypnotized, raise your hand.
Keep your hand up if you've never cried at a movie, cheered for a sports team, or lost track of time. Folks, that's environmental hypnosis. Hypnosis is when we relax that critical part of our mind, that inner babbler, I like to call it the drunk monkey that's running around throwing rotten bananas at people. That is hypnosis. Something that we are focusing on becomes more important. Therapeutically, when you combine a positive intention,
a well-crafted, well-written, therapeutic suggestion to create durable change while in that relaxed state, that's hypnotherapy. Now, hypnos was the Greek god of sleep. People would go to the hypnos temple, the sleep temple, and as they drifted off to sleep, a practitioner would speak positive words into their ear, knowing that it went straight into their subconscious mind and had a calming and transformational effect.
on the central nervous system. So it's not about giving up control. It's about taking back at a deeper level yourself where your beliefs are formed into calm, focused state where that analytical mind softens and we access our subconscious mind. That's when transformation becomes safe because we're relaxed, calm and peaceful. That's where a new identity is available. It's not stage hypnosis. It's not mind tricks. It's not passive.
It's neuroscience backed information. You don't heal by logic. You heal by making a decision to change your identity, how you hold yourself. When is it okay to color outside those lines? And when you do that, your nervous system supports you because you're coming from a place of power instead of force. Now I've helped several people achieve this and I've got a couple of few stories up here that are out public knowledge on my website and other places.
Christian (:of people that have made a decision to change the quality of their life. I've just highlighted the yellow parts. I'm grateful for the tools and skills I learned in six weeks, 30 years of trying to heal chronic pain and autoimmune challenges with holistic naturopath remedies. I am living proof of deeply healing old trauma and reprogramming negative thoughts and emotions. Yes, this woman was having a really difficult time when she came in.
Another person, prepped her for surgery, hip replacement. She was significantly overweight, helped her slim down and be able to get her surgery. It changed the quality of her life. She thinks I'm a valuable, valuable professional resource and all, and of all places, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Life-changing medical surgery. Her experience of life now is positive. Christian (:place that I call the Valley of the Giants. It's mastermind headquarters in Scottsdale. I was invited to go out and film a program for Dean Graziosi and Tony Robbins called the Commitment Code.
Christian (:years ago, I'll bet where you are, your systems, the tools, the new version of myself trying to emerge with struggling self doubt, really loud, incredibly loud. And then last year, I finally broke six figures. And now this year, significantly ahead, starting past 35 % ahead. I how you feel. felt the same way. And what I found is that through association, applying myself application of knowledge, which is powerful, that I've been able to grow and serve more people. But here's the thing, who you're meant to be is on the other side of
you haven't done yet. And that was not comfortable. It's like I was being stretched between who I had been and who I was growing into. I didn't necessarily know how to regulate my nervous system as well as I do now. There's some part of me that realized eventually that I wasn't broken. I was just rebooting, just becoming a better version of myself, stretching my wings, becoming stronger. I didn't know that meaning. I did not know that meaning at the time. Listen to me. It's not the story that matters most. What most matters is the meaning that you
in this story. That became my doorway to freedom. Yes. So would it be okay if we started to do a little bit of that work? Okay. To start rewiring thoughts about freedom so that you can do more of what it is that you love. Would that be cool? Everybody down for a brief hypnotic experience? Bring it. Okay. So here's what I want you to do. On a piece of paper on a scale of zero to 10 zero, you are completely relaxed.
Ten, you are the complete opposite of complete relaxation. Just write down the number where you're feeling right now, that you're feeling right now. Doesn't matter. There's no right or wrong. There's no good or bad. Zero, completely relaxed. Ten, the complete opposite of complete relaxation. Just go ahead and write it down. All righty. Now what I want you to do is just to go ahead, pick a spot to stare at maybe right into the camera. Just pick a spot to stare at, maybe right into the camera. And I'm going to guide you. I'm going to guide you.
through three relaxing breaths. So go ahead and stare at the camera. Breathe in through the nose, hold it at the top. Exhale slowly through your mouth.
Christian (:Good. Breathing through your nose, breathing in peace. Hold it to the top, exhale, stress.
Christian (:Breathe in again and this time as you exhale, close your eyes and rest.
Christian (:Now I want you to imagine, and feel warm relaxation.
Christian (:coming in through the top of your head.
Christian (:And that warm, gentle relaxation.
Christian (:is soothing your forehead.
Christian (:Calm in your mind.
Christian (:Move that warm, gentle relaxation down into your eyes.
Christian (:your cheekbones into your jaw.
Your jaw is relaxing.
Christian (:That's it. Down through your neck into your shoulders. Your shoulders are relaxing. Upper back is starting to relax.
Christian (:down into your chest and your heart is relaxing and pumping rich oxygenated blood throughout your entire circulatory system, relaxing you more and more.
Move that warm, gentle relaxation down into your solar plexus.
Christian (:Your breathing is slowing.
Christian (:rhythmic and peaceful and each breath is relaxing you more and more.
Move that relaxation.
down into your stomach.
Christian (:into your waist and hips.
Christian (:down into your thighs, knees.
Christian (:shins calf muscles
Christian (:down through the heel of each foot, up through the arch of each foot, down into the ball of each foot, and out through your toes.
Christian (:And now to go even deeper, relax.
Christian (:I want you to gather up.
as much relaxation as you choose and put it into your eyelids.
Christian (:There's an infinite amount of relaxation available to you. Just put some of that in your eyelids. So much relaxation that any attempt to open your eyelids is just going to cause them to relax even more.
Want that to happen?
Watch that happen. You will be experiencing the power of your creative subconscious mind.
Christian (:Now when you've done that, nod your head to let me know.
Christian (:Good, now test your eyelids and notice that you've been successful. Deeper. Relax.
Christian (:This relaxation belongs to you. exists inside of you. You created it with intention. And it is this same intention that supports you in rewiring and rewriting your identity.
Christian (:So let's begin rewriting that now, shall we? Just repeat softly out loud after me, day by day, in every way, I'm getting better and better.
Christian (:Yes, day by day in every way I'm getting better and better.
Christian (:Yes, day by day in every way I'm getting better and better.
Christian (:And now imagine, and feel the evidence of that, whatever that looks like, however that shows up. It's your life, it's your decision, you get to decide.
Christian (:Yes. Good work.
Now in a moment, I'm going to count from one up to five. And when I do, you're going to open your eyes. You're going to feel refreshed, alert, awake, and aware. So number one, slowly, calmly, easily, and gently, begin returning to your full awareness once again. On two, each nerve and muscle in your body feels loose, limp, and relaxed. You feel wonderfully good. On three, from the top of your head to the tips of your toes, feeling perfect in every way. Physically perfect, mentally perfect, emotionally calm and serene. On four, your eyes begin to feel sp-
It's as if you bathed your face in refreshing, cool spring water. On the next number, I count eyes open, fully alert. Five, eyes open, take in a deep breath, fill up your lungs, stretch, stretch, and smile. We can just rub our hands together, create some warmth, some friction, let's give ourselves a massage.
Nice massage in the face. Let's tap our feet on the ground. Say I'm fully alert, awake and aware. Beautiful, okay. So let's debrief here really quick. So hypnosis is a state where you relax that critical part of your mind, that inner critic, that drunk monkey. The therapy happens when you selectively and actively focus on a desired outcome. Day by day in every way, I'm getting better and better. Now I'm seeing evidence of that. Believing is seeing. Believing is seeing.

Well, Christian, as we wrap up today, I'm gonna, you know, we'll close out here in a bit, but I want to start with asking you as the practitioner in the space of nervous system regulation, how are you embodying living a 360 degree approach as a mastermind client and member and an entrepreneur?
spinning all the plates and serving so many, how do you embody what you do and live a 360 approach?
Christian (:That's a great question. So every day I endeavor to be a better version of myself. that, that, we saw somebody touch on this earlier. I think it was Dasha as well. It's like, it's not, there's a book called the gap in the game. Sometimes I measured myself against where I should be versus the progress that I made. And so gratitude is a really simple process of remembering what it is that I've accomplished and what it is that I've done.
So I focus on gratitude every single day and I have my spiritual practice. have my, my self-hypnosis practice and I have my, how I interact with other people practice. These are all cues to my nervous system to, to, to step up and serve because after all the stuff that I've been through in my life, I'm so deeply grateful for every single day. And probably most importantly, Melissa, I have surrounded myself with people whose values I share.
Yes. You know, that's a powerful one.
I just can't say enough about that. it doesn't mean, and sometimes there are people that are maybe in a different place, much further ahead on their journey like you are, or maybe not quite as far as I am. And that's cool. I studied martial arts for many years. And there is a practice in Shodokan karate where you walk into the dojo and you line up in a line.
And at the far end of the right is the the lowest belt. In the far end at the left is the highest belt. Just line up high to low. So here I am like 30 years old and I'm at the very end of the line as a white belt, 30 year old white belt. And I was the white belt at the end of the line at 30 years old for about six months. Talk about an ego test. Now the the saying in the dojo was you look
Christian (:to the right with compassion. I'm like, I've got nobody to look at. mean, I'm, hello, look in the mirror. You look to the right with compassion and you look to the left with respect. So association is sometimes like that. And then finally what happened was we got a new white belt. I was so excited. Sensei said, we've got a new white belt joining us today. I'm like, yay, yay, yay. This is so cool. He was six years old.
Honest to goodness. He was fricking six years old. So it's the intention. So sometimes, it's somebody that hasn't gone as far and other times it's people that have gone way further. But intention is a great equalizer.
Mm-hmm. Yes, absolutely No, but it's great, know aligning yourself and surrounding yourself who with that have the right intention And I think you and I both live and abide by that right? It's like it that proximity matters to by Association who you're spending your time with Even you know, I'm always strategically trying to get in rooms and be close to people who can expand and grow me But also it doesn't necessarily mean that they're
That's a long answer to your short question.
