Let's dive in.
Guest [:So I've gone through the content mapping. I've followed the different types of authority and relatability posts. I still work a corporate job and I'm looking to help corporate women who are in burnout to get through breakthrough. And what I'm noticing is I'm getting impressions on my posts, but the comments are pretty much from the same people. And I don't see that my network is growing outside of who I'm already connected to. So I was listening in on some of the feedback you were giving to somebody else on growing network. I'm just trying to understand, like, should I do something differently? Should I just keep stay consistent? Because I've done some practice coaching and I know those women that I definitely don't wanna work. So I'm really refining my avatar and making sure that it is women in corporate because it's a game that I know and I can really help with at this point of where I'm starting out with the business.
Guest [:Okay. Yes. So couple things.
Melissa Henault [:I mean, this one's the obvious, but the first way you're gonna grow your network is to strategically grow it. Whether you're in the search function or you're doing what I just talked about and hovering over where your ideal client would be engaging, if you heard that part of the conversation. So those are strategic ways to actually grow your network. The thing that I want you thinking about is with speaking to burnout is what I heard you say, burnout for corporate. You have to understand that people who are experiencing this are not gonna engage or acknowledge their challenge in your content because they have a mask on, and they don't want their employer or their boss or their peers to know that they're struggling with what you have to offer. What I want to inspire the heck out of you I don't know if you've met or heard Julie Kober. She coaches inside of our program. She's an executive coach, women's coach out of Canada who was in HR, executive HR for twenty eight years and flipped that around and sort of marketing to and coaching to burn out women in corporate.
Melissa Henault [:And her story is very similar to many of you, and it doesn't even have to be corporate burnout. It could be just a sensitive topic that you support, like the challenged relationships and entrepreneurship, or it could be chronic health conditions, or it could be mental health. Some of you are gonna have a voice for these people and their challenges, and they're not going to acknowledge their problem in your feed. And that goes back to your impressions. What you need to be looking for is a growth in your impressions because that's going to show you that people are hovering and they're reading, but they're not going to engage. Where the magic is gonna happen is in the DMs. They're gonna be compelled, and they're gonna follow-up with you. Now in your case, you're gonna probably have to create a little bit more of a call to action than most because you're gonna need to give people a nudge to reach out to you because they're already not gonna put it in the comments.
Melissa Henault [:So you wanna make it super simple and easy for them to connect and reach out to you and get connected with you.
Guest [:That's a big one because I've been a little afraid to start the selling piece of it. And I do the call, the action of like starting conversations, encouraging conversations in my feed. And I have been getting some comments. A lot of it is is my friends being supportive, but that's a good one because I haven't been, like, specifically calling people to come to my DM.
Melissa Henault [:And I would say this is for you specifically because you have a shy audience in the sense that they're not gonna air their dirty laundry in the comment section. Yeah. Not as an employee with it being a topic around burnout as an employee. But you are sitting on a gold mine. You just have to grow the right network and have the appropriate calls to action. What I want you really to be bold about, and this is how Julie has been so successful, is speaking to what they can't speak to. Call it out publicly what they're experiencing. You want them to feel as though they could jump at the screen and say, she knows exactly what I'm going through.
Melissa Henault [:She knows exactly what I'm experiencing, and that they feel so called and connected that they need to message you. Okay. I think a lot of folks in the executive coach, burnout coach, and the coaching for corporate arena, a lot of you guys come out of your own corporate baggage and have these stories you tell yourself that you can't be bold and call it out publicly because of where you came from. You're like this caged lion because of our past history as an employee that you're kind of afraid to be bold and talk about the problem, and you have to remind yourself that you're not in that world anymore. You're serving the people that are in that world. And if you don't speak up about their challenges, no one is. And you have to be bold and courageous and talk about it in order for people to feel really connected to you and for you to be a voice for them. Does that make sense?
Guest [:Yeah. Absolutely. And I have been I think the last week I've gotten even bolder on I'm doing a l liver detox, so I'm getting, like, really bold of, like, how important it is to prioritize well-being and, like, the things that are coming up. So I will continue to do that because I definitely was at that point where I was really afraid of what to put, and now I just, like, don't even look at my LinkedIn profile as connected to my current employer. I just look at it as, like, my way to grove, and I don't really care what I write on it. Like, no one from work has said anything to me, so I'm not afraid.
Melissa Henault [:I love that. I love that. Okay. Awesome.
Guest [:Alright.
Melissa Henault [:Perfect.
