Unknown [:So my question has to do with finding my ideal clients. I am a relationship coach. I focus on entrepreneur couples to help them reconnect, realign, and renew their relationship. A lot of couples, they kind of lose connection in the busyness of building a business, And if they're both doing that, we've got double the challenge. So I've been more consistent with posting. It is a topic that not a lot of comment, obviously, about their personal relationship. I am wanting some fresh eyes on just ideas for how to approach and sell. I've done a live several weeks ago where I taught the speaker listener technique and then interviewed a couple.
Unknown [:And I have a package that I've recently rewarded to be I just feel like I'm pivoting all the time Yeah. To find what will land because I'm in it for the long haul. I'm not looking for a quick fix, but I also know that messaging, it's very different than an individual looking for coaching for themselves when they're talking about their relationship, their marriage. So that's more my question today. It's just wanting some fresh ideas on what to focus on and how to keep
Melissa Henault [:Yeah. So great questions. And I think that this goes back to even our a parallel discussion like we just talked about with the website. And it's about knowing your buyer personas, like, they're in desired state versus maybe the middle of it. Where I'm going with that is these really high performing entrepreneurs that are 90 miles an hour in business, you're gonna have different buyer personas. One that absolutely knows that their relationship has gone sideways, and it's keeping them up at night. And then you're going to have the unconsciously incompetent as well that don't even know that they're in their pursuit for business. They've aborted the other important aspects of life.
Melissa Henault [:And so especially on LinkedIn, users of LinkedIn typically tend to be more high performers. They're really focused on success and personal growth. And what I have found is that these types of folks respond really well to how you will by working with you, you're impacting what they're really focused on right now. This is gonna sound so effed up what I'm about to tell you, but it's, like, so true. Because if their relationship's in the dumps because they've been so focused on their business, it's gonna be really hard for you to just pattern interrupt and convince them that otherwise, because this is a pattern that they've been in for a long time. But what if you actually marketed to them that their business would be more successful if their relationship was healthier. I know this sounds a little bit, like, fucked up because we're talking backwards into the result, but it's true. And you know this.
Melissa Henault [:The data is there. And this is the same for corporate employees too, like high level executives and stuff that those of you who work with high level people, recognizing that really healthy romantic relationships energetically, there is a litany of data and scientific evidence of how that ripples into how you perform, how you show up, ultimately the success of your business, how you're interacting with your employees, with your staff, blah, blah, blah, blah. I know this sounds a little wild, but it's like speak their language. It's like I said during the masterclass for some of you, sell them what they think they need and then give them what they actually need. And so that's the route I would go because you'd be surprised what some of these entrepreneurs would be willing to do just to get to another tier of success in their business. So if that meant going back and nurturing their relationship, even if the backdoor motivation is growth in their business. Again, I told you this is gonna sound screwed up, but it's marketing to them what they're on the platform looking for, but then giving them what they actually need.
Unknown [:I've heard you say that before, but I hadn't been able to make that shift, I think, in terms of how to communicate that.
Melissa Henault [:Yeah. You guys would not probably TMI, but you would die to see one of my first mastermind coaches brought in a sex specialist into one of our coaching calls. We were like, what is this? I got this gift on my front doorstep and it was a Yoni egg. If anybody knows what those are. I was like, what is this, and what have I invested in? I hired her to help me with business strategy. And by the end of that week, she had us all focused on our sexual relationships with our spouses and intimacy. And I didn't realize, but she got us totally turned into it because of how it was gonna impact how we were showing up in every aspect of our life.
Unknown [:So No complaints from the spouse,
Melissa Henault [:No. He was like, can you renew with that business coach? Yeah. I think that's what you do on the platform is you sell them what they think they need and then give them what they actually need.
Unknown [:The other question I have has to do with searching, and I did, LinkedIn premium, just the free for a month. Mhmm. And I'm trying to find some more local connections, and so I put in, like, female founder Fort Collins. Mhmm. And it still just does not I mean, I again, people that are their employees. They're not founders or entrepreneurs. Any more suggestions or reminders? I know these are things you've probably said a hundred times, and we're all drinking from the fire hose, and then it's like, oh, yeah. She said this before.
Melissa Henault [:Well, I think one of the best ways to find active entrepreneurs on LinkedIn, because you can search. We should all be searching to grow our network. But when you're searching keywords, you're bringing in cold networks that you're not really sure how active they are unless you're prequalifying the connection by looking at their activity. But the opposite of that is go hang out where they hang out. So ask yourself, where are active entrepreneurs hanging out and engaging on LinkedIn? And that's gonna go to that keyword we talk about with influencers and thought leaders. So when we think about influencers and thought leaders in the entrepreneurial space, depending on your demographic, who are they gonna be following? There's some really active, like, Shark Tank guys that are on LinkedIn that have really big robust accounts. There's Dean Graziosi's and Tony Robbins are more in kind of the mindset, but also entrepreneurial. Like, this is where you can even go off of LinkedIn and go to Google and ask Google who are the top influencers in entrepreneurship today.
Melissa Henault [:You could even narrow it down to niche audience on Google. Do it on Google and then go find them on LinkedIn. And some of them are gonna be highly active and some of them aren't. And then you're gonna wanna go engage with those thought leaders and influencers because if your headline is catchy, they're gonna see you, and you're gonna create curiosity, and you can start getting into conversations with them and drive connections with them on LinkedIn. Now you know you've got active users on LinkedIn that are entrepreneurs instead of just throwing out the connections. And you can get super targeted here too, knowing what type of entrepreneurs your entrepreneurs would be following, what types of business coaches. So for me, we have a pretty niche target audience where I have certain thought leaders in the online business space that I go engage with on a weekly basis that are bigger than me. And then you guys see my headline, and you're curious what I'm doing, and you come connect with me.
